About us

A new global standard

The Responsible Living Wage Standard was developed by an expert team of impact consultants from Peterson Solutions, in close coordination with auditors and experts on auditing processes from Control Union. We decided to address a significant gap in the market: the absence of a comprehensive, internationally applicable living wage certification founded on independent third-party certification.

As expectations for credibility and transparency in labour standards continue to rise, we designed the certification system to meet rigorous global requirements and to support meaningful improvements for workers worldwide. The standard is currently managed by Peterson Solutions and is scheduled to be transferred to an independent scheme owner organization to strengthen impartiality and transparency.

Fair wages reduce stress, improve health outcomes, and strengthen families — it’s an investment in people and communities.
